Hi! Welcome to Wahluke Lavender. My name is Jeannie and I'm so happy you are here.
What started as a way to make driving into my driveway better than looking at a field of weeds has turned into a fully functioning lavender farm. We began with 1" plugs, some started by seed in my greenhouse, and have watched them grow and produce more than 3000 beautiful plants with abundant flowers. One of my favorite things is being in the lavender field in the early morning and listening to the bees begin their work for the day.
We live in a rural farming community in Eastern Washington. Understanding and recognizing our dependence on the land and what it takes to produce food and products from the ground up is what motivated us to start Wahluke Lavender. We hope that we can help others appreciate this wondrous process.
All of our products contain 100% essential lavender oil from our farm. It has not undergone any blending so the scent is what the true oil produces. In addition to the lavender oil, we also use the by-product of the distillation process (lavender hydrosol) in our soaps. All of our body soaps are made with pasture raised beef tallow, along with coconut and castor oils. We believe that this part of our business is an important function of regenerative farming by not wanting to waste any part of the animal.
